The Role
A multi-faceted role with exposure across the whole group. We are looking to further improve our business efficiencies across the group by making better use of our StruMIS and COINS systems. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in the further development of these systems.
Working closely with senior management, the ideal candidate will already be a seasoned StruMIS user with a good working knowledge of the constructional steel industry. Although experience working with these systems and within this industry would be highly advantageous, we will also consider candidates of a similar background and experience.
The successful candidate will also be IT savvy, preferably with some SQL experience who isn’t afraid to take on new challenges.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure the company is using the StruMIS MIS System to its full capability resulting in an efficient and profitable operation. Ultimately this will mean consolidation of 2 systems into a single system operating across the 3 sites.
- Liaise with purchasing and production to ensure all data is being accurately and efficiently entered and tracked from the team members on the production shop floor.
- Interact with the Drawing Office team and the StruMIS users to ensure all CAD data is being entered accurately and efficiently in a timely manner.
- Ensure all reporting functions within StruMIS are operating correctly and providing accurate data in a timely manner on a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly schedule.
- Ensure all software that interfaces with StruMIS functions accordingly and efficiently resolving issues that arise with the help of IT and our in-house developers to ensure production is not interrupted.
- Ensure StruMIS MIS system is implemented and fully functioning for all team members who work within the system.
- Train all existing StruMIS users and future users ensuring they can efficiently operate within the system and successfully complete their daily tasks.
- Maintain all licensing seats for StruMIS.
- Ensure all system updates are managed efficiently and in a manner as to not disrupt production and data entry.
- Ensure all software that interfaces with shop floor machinery (Steel Office, Steel Projects, Sigmanest, etc) is up to date, backed up and under support contracts.
- Investigate the consolidation of software used by the shop floor machinery to reduce the number of packages being used.
- The successful candidate will also be responsible for day-to-day administration of COINS Global, our cloud based ERP system, used across the Billington Holdings Plc Group.
- User and user rights administration.
- Developing and troubleshooting workflows.
- Liaising with users and COINS to solve any issues that arise.
- Creating reports using the built in reporting tools.
