Billington Holdings welcomed colleagues and their families to its Annual Summer Festival on Friday 24 July 2026 at the Group’s Wombwell premises in Barnsley.

The event brought together employees from across the Group, including Billington Structures, Easi-Edge, Hoard-it, Brand-it, Shafton Steel Services, Tubecon, Peter Marshall Steel Stairs and Specialist Protective Coatings, for an afternoon of entertainment, fundraising and recognition. With warm summer weather throughout the day, staff enjoyed a range of activities while raising money in support of the Group’s 2026 Charity of the Year, Pancreatic Cancer UK.

Throughout the afternoon, colleagues and their families enjoyed a variety of attractions including a live band, ice cream, a bouncy castle, rodeo bulldog, high striker and photobooth. Billington’s Company Directors also took their turn behind the bar, serving drinks from local breweries Acorn Brewery and Yorkshire Craft Beer.

Speaking during the event, Mark Smith, Chief Executive Officer of Billington Holdings Plc, thanked colleagues for their continued hard work and dedication throughout the year and recognised the way employees across the Group had embraced change while continuing to support one another.

It's fantastic to see so many familiar faces here today, along with many new faces who have joined the Group over the last year. As always, I'd like to thank every one of you for your hard work, commitment and dedication over the last twelve months. Everything we've achieved as a Group is only possible because of the effort put in by all of you. We continue to invest in the future of the business, and I'm pleased to say that all of our Group companies are in a strong position. Today's event is about more than just enjoying ourselves. It's another opportunity to raise money for a fantastic cause.

The annual charity raffle once again proved popular, with prizes including a Samsung TV, coffee machine, various hampers, tablets, watches, shopping vouchers, a weekend break and golf vouchers. Together with the day’s other fundraising activities, the Summer Festival raised £3,774 for Pancreatic Cancer UK, bringing the Group’s total fundraising for its 2026 Charity of the Year to £4,974. The funds will help the charity continue its work funding research, raising awareness and providing support for people affected by pancreatic cancer.

During the afternoon, colleagues were also introduced to some of the first intake of the new Billington Academy, ahead of its official launch in September. The group was presented with Billington jackets to mark the occasion before joining colleagues and their families for the rest of the day’s celebrations.

Billington Holdings would like to thank everyone who donated raffle prizes and supported the fundraising activities. Their continued generosity and enthusiasm helped make the event another enjoyable occasion for colleagues and their families while raising valuable funds for an important cause.
